Deborah Ray has been bringing quality health information to radio, television, and satellite radio listeners since 1982. After being told she needed a colostomy at the age of 23, she became a firm believer in using alternative medicine along with conventional techniques. Her journey in integrative medicine became a lifelong exploration of the use of natural products and lifestyle choices to deal with disease. Above all, she’s a healthcare consumer, just like her loyal listeners and viewers.

Deborah Ray has consistently been named among the top 100 most important talk radio hosts in America by Talker’s Magazine and has been the host speaker of numerous seminars and events since 1991. She is a member of the American Society of Medical Technologists and certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Her academic awards include National Merit Scholar and the Bausch and Lomb Physics Award. Deborah has a B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Kentucky and works toward her M.S. in Immunology from the University of Louisville. Deborah was awarded the coveted Maharishi Award in Health and Immunity, the NNFA Crusader Award, and the Wisdom Media Group Worldview Award, among others.

Deborah’s late husband, Donald J. Carrow, M.D. established the first integrative medical practice in Tampa in 1979. He was in Deborah’s words, “far enough ahead of his time to suffer for it” and she dubbed him Talk Radio’s Medical Maverick joining her on air for a daily plus Sunday syndicated radio program. Her rich experience on air for 26 years in syndicated television, radio and satellite radio are now expanded leading in the on-air efforts at Healthy Media Productions, LLC.
